Axiom Controls manufactures the Ax1 & Ax1e Moulded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) series. An MCCB is an advanced version of the miniature circuit breaker — an automatic electrical device that forms the core element of the LV switchgear power-distribution system and protects the low-voltage distribution system against short circuits.
Fixed thermal and magnetic settings provide overload, short-circuit and under-voltage protection: the thermal mechanism handles overload while the magnetic mechanism handles short circuit. A movable trip unit gives fast switching during fault current, with a remote ON/OFF feature, adjustable trip settings and a compact design that handles much higher currents than standard MCBs — making it suited to heavy-duty applications.
